HA Motorsports custom ECU adapter/jumper harness for installing an OBD1 Auto ECU with separate transmission control unit into 96-97 Accord 4 cylinder with auto transmission.
For example:
- If you've installed an automatic 94-95 Prelude engine and transmission into your 96-97 Accord, use a 94-95 Prelude OBD1 auto ECU with separate transmission control unit.
- If you need to tune a custom engine setup in your 96-97 Accord with automatic transmission, use one of our AUTO ECU Packages:
The stock 96-97 Accord with automatic transmission uses a single PCM/ECU to control both the engine and auto transmission. This works great for the stock engine setup, but when engine modifications or an engine swap is done and you need an OBD1 ECU this becomes a problem. By directing transmission controls to the separate transmission control unit, you are able to use an OBD1 Auto ECU. The OBD2A plug (large plug housing) will plug directly into your stock ECU connectors. This harness will then split the engine wiring to the OBD1 Auto ECU, while it directs the transmission wiring over to the separate auto transmission control unit (TCU).
