Add B11 VSS output to KPro equipped ECU
This is our service to internally modify your 02-04 K Series ECU (that is already equipped with a Hondata Kpro system) to output a VSS signal at pin B11, and includes a new pre-made wire that is needed to be added on your harness. Price is for the service and parts needed.
From the factory, the 02-04 K series ECU does not provide a vehicle speed output to the gauge cluster as the RSX dash gets the speed signal directly from the sensor. Whenever you install an 05+ transmission that uses a CSS (countershaft speed sensor), the cluster will no longer be able to process the speed signal. By modifying the internal circuitry in the ECU, you can first use the ECU to process the speed signal (set calibration file to countershaft speed sensor), then have the ECU output a corrected speed signal on pin B11 to go to the speedo on the gauge cluster. You will then run the new wire for the VSS at the C101 pin 3 to ECU pin B11 and everything will work properly!
How does the order process work?
- Add this service to your online cart, then proceed through the checkout process. The shipping you select and pay for at checkout is the return shipping, for shipping the completed ECU back to you once finished. Submit your order at the end of the checkout process.
- Package your ECU into any box that fits your ECU. Be sure to package/pad it well to avoid damage in transit.
- Write your order number on the outside of the box.
- Ship to us using any shipping method you'd like. Click here for our shipping address.
- When we receive your ECU, we will complete the ECU modifications, then ship back to you using the shipping method you selected at checkout.
