This aftermarket replacement part is used to repair Honda OBD1 ECUs that fail turn on, including but not limited to P28, P72, P75, and P06. Usually, you will notice the ECU does not activate the fuel pump or will take a long time to turn on. The original component at IC17 is a Toshiba TA8903SN. It is a power supervisor that maintains voltage to the ECU's microcontroller when the ignition is off. Unfortunately, the original Toshiba part is obsolete. This unit is now available to use in its place. Unlike other IC17 bypass chips on the market, this emulator replicates the power sequencing of the original chip properly, ensuring compatibility with all tuning platforms.
